Hewitt: Contrasting Approaches to Economic Crisis
With Hugh Hewitt
Since the Democrats took control of both the Senate and the House in November 2006, the price of oil has skyrocketed and banks have crashed. The stock market is wobbly and a recession looms. Sending the freshman Senator Barack Obama to the White House and more Democrats to Congress to fix these problems is a sure way to take a short recession and turn it into a deep and long one—as sharply rising taxes and free-wheeling spending will simply drive capital and jobs overseas and worsen the country’s woes.
